A remark on simple scattering theory

چکیده
Scattering theory between the fractional power H0 = κ−1(−∆)κ/2 (κ ≥ 1) of negative Laplacian and the Hamiltonian H = H0 + V perturbed by shortand longrange potentials considered in [10] is revisited and a new proof of the existence and asymptotic completeness of wave operators is given with utilizing the smooth operator technique. The Chiral Coupling Constants l̄ 1 and l̄ 2 from ππ Phase Shifts
A Roy equation analysis of the available ππ phase shift data is performed with the I = 0 Swave scattering length a0 in the range predicted by the one-loop standard chiral perturbation theory. A suitable dispersive framework is developed to extract the chiral coupling constants l̄1, l̄2 and yields l̄1= −1.70±0.15 and l̄2≈ 5.0. We remark on the implications of this determination to (combinations of) ...
متن کاملCalculation of the Induced Charge Distribution on the Surface of a Metallic Nanoparticle Due to an Oscillating Dipole Using Discrete Dipole Approximation method
In this paper, the interaction between an oscillating dipole moment and a Silver nanoparticle has been studied. Our calculations are based on Mie scattering theory and discrete dipole approximation(DDA) method. At first, the resonance frequency due to excitingthe localized surface plasmons has been obtained using Mie scattering theory and then by exciting a dipole moment in theclose proximity of...
متن کاملOn the quantum probability ux through surfaces
We remark that the often ignored quantum probability ux is fundamental for a genuine understanding of scattering phenomena and, in particular, for the statistics of the time and position of the rst exit of a quantum particle from a given region, which may be simply expressed in terms of the ux. This simple formula for these statistics does not appear as such in the literature. It is proposed th...
متن کاملOn the quantum probability flux through surfaces
We remark that the often ignored quantum probability current is fundamental for a genuine understanding of scattering phenomena and, in particular, for the statistics of the time and position of the first exit of a quantum particle from a given region, which may be simply expressed in terms of the current. This simple formula for these statistics does not appear as such in the literature. It is...
